Fakhar Zaman of the Lahore Qalandars became the first third cricketer to reach 500 runs in a single edition of the Pakistan Super League on Saturday (PSL).
Fakhar Zaman hit 51* off 41 deliveries against Islamabad United at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium to achieve the 500-run mark in a single PSL season.
Babar (Karachi Kings) and Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans) were the only players to score 500+ runs in a single PSL edition before him – both in PSL 6, last year.
Fakhar now has 521 runs in a single PSL edition, and just needs 34 runs to break Babar's record of 554 runs in a single edition of the league.
Rizwan had 500 runs for Multan in the previous season.
